With orphan children getting ready to outnumber the children with one parent or grandparent...what is to become of them? Whose problem is this?
Many believe that US tax dollars should be the extent of our help to Haiti. Of course those are the people that refuse to part with one dollar to help anyone outside the US.
Do US citizens not realize that there is more to the world than the United States of America? What if something happened on US soil...who are we to count on if other's cannot count on us? The US is not immune to trouble or problems or disease and although we are a strong nation as far as our troupes, we still have the same needs as other, even more poorer, nations.
People, this is one world with many nations. We all have dreams, hopes and fears. We all bleed the same blood, we all want safety and health for our children. Why, when one nation needs the help of many, can we not do it together? Why are we, as a nation, not team team players? Our team is Team-Humanity.
